American Traditions Insurance Company and Modern USA Insurance Company are both built on the Foundation of the Jerger family. Although two separate investment groups are involved both insurance companies use West Point Underwriters, LLC to market, underwrite and process all their property insurance policies service and both utilize a management team with many years of Florida homeowners experience.

Since 1946 the Jerger Family has been in the insurance business in Florida. Their goal has always been to provide the prudent agent and its customers with security and protection through professional insurance services. They have a tradition of providing old-fashioned service with a smile. American Traditions Insurance Company (ATIC) began writing homeowners in January 2006 and Modern USA Insurance Company (MUSA) began writing homeowners insurance in October 2007. Both Companies specialize in residential property insurance and operate in Florida. Both Companies provide a voluntary market for residential property insurance coverage.

West Point Underwriters, LLC was established in May 2000 and began writing policies in October 2000. We are proud of our special relationship with West Point. West Point Underwriters has had remarkable growth over its operating history.

Highly effective use of technology, designed and maintained at extremely low costs relative to industry norms, provides ATIC and MUSA with a sustainable competitive advantage in expense structure and offers an attractive hook for agents who value user friendliness and speed of entry.

Appointment Process Steps (Allow 14 days for processing): 
There is no availability for new appointments in Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Collier, Hillsborough, Lee, Palm Beach, Pinellas, Manatee, Martin, Miami-Dade, Sarasota, St. Lucie, and Volusia Counties at this time.
  
  • FMS checks for proper completion and forwards to MUSA/ATIC
  • MUSA/ATIC enters the sub-agent information in their system and forwards a username/password to the FAIA Member
  • FAIA Member quotes, binds, and issues policies via MUSA/ATIC website
  • Commissions are sent to the FAIA member from FMS (current commission rate is 13% for homeowners and 11% for mobile homeowners) **Commission payable only on non-hurricane portion of the premium.
