United Insurance - Homeowners & Dwelling Fire Programs
United Property and Casualty Insurance Company came to FMS for assistance with
implementing a strategy to address the writing requirement from receiving a
surplus note authorized by the Florida legislature. Because United must put its
additional capital to work and reach the 2:1 threshold specified in the surplus
note as soon as practicable, time constraints make it almost impossible to
appoint enough additional agencies to meet the requirement quickly. As a
result, United has appointed FMS as its primary agent. FAIA members needing a
market for homeowners and dwelling fire can be appointed as sub-agents.
United Property and Casualty Insurance Company is a Florida-domiciled company
headquartered in St. Petersburg. The company carries a rating of "A" Excellent
